What is VI (Visually Impaired) Fencing ?

VI fencing has been designed for fencers with Visual impairments. It is a unique Fencing programmes that requires trust, respect and collaboration. VI Fencing is an aided standing fencing sport. It allows participants with VI to take part in a full dueling bout. It has designed by Our expert SEND Fencing coaches for people with disabilities that affect sight.

VI Fencing gives the participant the chance to experience the sport without restrictions.

Our programme has been developed through research and evaluation of over 2 years of delivering fencing to disabled participants. 

Why try VI Fencing ?

VI fencing is an adapted version of the standing sport. It is ideal for participants with Visual Impairments that want the full dueling experience.

VI Fencing uses specialist equipment and an adapted Piste to ensure a great fencing experience.

Backed by our Therapy through fencing programme VI fencing develops core strength, coordination, muscle strength, self confidence, motor skills and mental resilience.
